December 13th, 2013 No comments

Instapaper, is Instapaper Logoone of my personal favorites and an app that regularly ranks in other top 20 list of iPad and iPhone apps. Christmas must have come early, as it is

now FREE for for the first time since 2010. The app usually costs around £3 in the UK / $4.99 in the US so weel worth a quick download. But, do it quick though as it’s likely to be for a limited period only.

Don’t just take my word for it, this popular read-it-later app is also Apple’s App of the Week right now – clearly demonstrating it is one of the best.

Embedded Twitter Timelines on your Intranet – solution?

March 7th, 2013 No comments

If you’ve reached this page you are probably as frustrated as I have been with Twitter’s new API restrictions and the embedded timeline widget restrictions on internal company domain names. Specifically, host names like “intranet” and “mycompany”. From my research, there’s plenty of discussion out there including on Twitter’s Developer Forum, but as far as I can tell no solutions.

Top tip: Save money when you spend money

March 8th, 2012 No comments

We all like to get the most from our money. With these top tips you can genuinely get great deals online for less. I’ve personally received over £250 back in to my bank account in less than twelve months!

These sites are so popular they have millions of members in UK and, as a result, they get attract lucrative money saving offers to consumers from the big brands out there.

If you haven’t heard of them it can be quite hard to believe. Not surprisingly, they’ve been featured on many newspaper articles and consumer  radio and TV such as the BBC’s One Show and ITV’s DayBreak.
TopCashBack- UK's most generous cashback website
All you need to do is sign up with one or more of them for free and then start collecting the pounds.

WARNING: some require the first £5 you save in an annual subscription fee (Quidco.com), but others such as TopCashBack.co.uk are COMPLETELY FREE!

My personal recommendation is to join both. Surf the web as normal whilst you are selecting what you want to buy and then compare the best deals when your ready to actually purchase.

The secret to smart shopping

BOTTOM LINE: These sites really do save you money when you buy online, simply by giving you money back when you buy the stuff you would buy anyway from top UK Online retailers AND at their normal prices!

Personalised Number Plate: T30 SSA (Tessa or Tess)

September 11th, 2011 No comments

Opportunity to bag a bargain. My daughter, who’s a hard up medical student, is offering her personalised private number plate T30 SSA to sensible bidders.

Tessa Number Plate (T30 SSA)

Great present for the Tessa or Tess in your life, especially with Christmas coming up. How about it Vernon (Kay) – sure Tess would love it!

If you are interested, please make a genuine offer. This car number plate has been valued by a number of independent vendors, so we have a good idea of the going rate for such a prized number.
