How to get your mobile phone’s IMEI code for free

Knowing how to get your mobile phone’s IMEI code is quite a handy tip.

I recently needed to access my IMEI code when getting my old iPhone 3G handset unlocked through O2 – see next post!

The easiest way to do this is using the keypad – no need to switch off and read the small text on the SIM card.

Just enter the code *#06# on the keypad, as soon as you hit the second “#” the 15 digit IMEI code appears

HP LaserJet 4L can’t print from Windows 7

Solved at last. For months I’ve been trying to work out how to do it. Get my old war horse of a laser printer (HP LaserJet 4L in this case) back in operation since getting a new Windows 7, 64bit PC.

Turns out the secret was a £4 USB Parallel Printer Port Cable 25 pin female socket cable  from Amazon, given there are no parallel printer ports on my new desktop PC.
